For years, wellness practices have always included tried-and-tested staples, such as meditation, yoga, and aerobic exercises. Now add CBD to that list, the ultimate plant-based medicinal wellness product.

The potential impact of CBD on one’s overall health is significant. In particular, there’s been increasing use of CBD edibles, which have effortlessly claimed the top spot in CBD trends. This rising trend is largely because of the subtle and effective possibilities that these edibles offer to users that wish to take advantage of the therapeutic benefits of cannabidiol.

But first…

What is CBD?

What is CBD? How to make Vegan CBD Edibles.

CBD stands for cannabidiol. This is a compound that naturally occurs in the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant.

Essentially, each plant found in the cannabis family has CBD, a component that can easily be extracted from the hemp plant.

Contrary to popular belief, CBD is a non-psychoactive component. This means that it doesn’t get the user high, unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC). That’s why CBD became such a hit and is currently in demand. Furthermore, CBD is widely used to treat a wide variety of symptoms and disorders. It is also ideal for those that seek natural relief.

Introducing Vegan CBD Edibles

People can consume CBD in various ways, depending on the format it is in. For instance, many people ingest it orally by placing a few drops of CBD oil under their tongue, while others vape or smoke CBD.

However, while these are some of the most common ways to get CBD absorbed into the body, they do not appeal to everyone. They can also be quite conspicuous, putting off anyone that wants to consume the products discreetly, especially in public.

A much more palatable way to consume CBD is by eating CBD edibles. These are often taken in the form of chocolate and gummies, although many products have entered the market including honey, popcorn, cookies, and even chewing gum.

At the end of a hard working day, we all need something to relax. Meditation, taking a nap, or drinking herbal tea or even alcohol are ways to solve this problem. But nowadays, CBD-infused drinks are also a great choice. These kinds of drinks are ways to treat anxiety and make you feel relaxed, without any addictive effects.

CBD edibles have evolved over the last few years to accommodate different dietary requirements. One of the latest entrants to the market is vegan CBD edibles.

As the popularity of vegan CBD products continues to reach an all-time high, many brands are now more excited than ever and have begun pushing and investing in such products.

But what if you want to make your own vegan CBD edibles at home? Let’s take a look at some expert tips for making vegan edibles.

Tips for Making Vegan CBD Edibles

There are three types of CBD oils to consider when making edibles: full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, and CBD isolate.

Full-Spectrum CBD contains cannabinoids, terpenes, and molecular compounds from the hemp plant. This type of CBD contains traces of THC (under 0.2%), and is often considered the most “whole” and beneficial type of CBD.

Broad-Spectrum CBD contains all the cannabinoids but without THC.

CBD Isolate is derived from industrial hemp and is pure, 100% CBD.

You need to consider the strength of the end-product when making CBD edibles. The first step involves calculating the milligrams in the tincture against the number of servings in your recipe.

For instance, for approximately 10 pounds of body weight, you need to add the standard dosage of one to six milligrams. Although experienced users can add a little more tincture per serving, it would be best to start at this range if you’re still a beginner.

You can make your own CBD oil at home, or buy it directly from one of our recommended shops on this website.
