Binoid Water-Soluble CBD Drops – Lemon (500mg) Product Review

Binoid Water-Soluble CBD Wellness Drops (500mg) Lemon flavor smell bright and citrusy, similar to a fresh glass of fresh-squeezed lemonade — we’re talking the good stuff here. The smell is very apparent upon opening the bottle but isn’t overwhelming or sour like many lemon-flavored products we’ve tried. 

At first blush, these drops are super sweet, but are soon perfectly counterbalanced with a tangy, hempy flavor that’s both citrusy and deliciously herbal. The aftertaste is fairly strong if you use the tincture solo, but it’s much less noticeable when mixed with a hot cup of tea or other beverage. This application suits its water-soluble formulation nicely — a few drops wherever you might normally use a squeeze of lemon add pleasant flavor and therapeutic potential in one go. 

These CBD wellness drops offer a slightly cloudy golden color and a medium-thickness that is pretty easy to measure and feels light when placed under the tongue. Because it is water soluble, it mixes expertly into beverages instead of floating on top (like many oil-based tinctures do). 

In response to an agonizing migraine, we took one full dropper (16.6mg) of these Water-Soluble CBD Wellness Drops mixed into a small glass of water. It took only a few seconds to gulp the beverage down, and it tasted similar to watered-down lemonade. After about half an hour, our migraine symptoms began to subside, beginning with the return of peripheral vision. For the following 30-45 minutes, the discomfort continued to wane, and just short of 1.5 hours after dosing the migraine was completely alleviated.

Since migraines of this sort often last 6 hours or more, we consider our experience with these drops for migraine relief a great success, but still wanted to more thoroughly test the proverbial waters (no pun intended) with this formula. 

We used these lemony CBD drops again the next day in place of our usual 20 mg dose, which is intended for anxiety prevention. We never noticed an “onset” per se, but definitely found ourselves gliding through the morning with ease, even though we found ourselves on a crowded 7 a.m. bus just an hour after dosing. It wasn’t until around 3pm when effects began to wane and we felt the unease of anxiety beginning to creep back in.

We took a second dose around 4 pm, sublingually this time for the sake of convenience. The onset was more apparent (unsurprising, as our anxiety was more acute at this time than in the morning). It also seemed to come on a bit quicker, and after about 30 minutes we felt at ease with the day again. This sense of wellbeing continued despite already being on a crowded bus (a particularly anxiety-inducing place to be for us).

The effects lasted at least 6 hours with each dose of these lemon-flavored drops, and they definitely helped us effectively tackle tasks that would be otherwise difficult to handle. Relative to our usual dose (which last about 8 hours), these were a bit more short-lived, but the relatively fast onset might be worth the trade-off. In our experience, even with 8 hours of relief, a redose is often inevitable to make it through the day. In that light, this seems like a small trade-off well-suited to many different types of symptoms, conditions, and consumers.

These CBD drops are not designed specifically to target any condition, but they may be useful for many different symptoms or conditions that respond to CBD. Studies have shown that CBD may be useful for conditions ranging from anxiety and brain damage, to pain, inflammation, arthritis, and even chronic conditions like PTSD or Crohn’s Disease.

Because of its unique water-soluble formula, this product may be an especially good fit for those who don’t care for direct sublingual dosing or don’t tolerate the flavor of hemp tinctures well. However, because they are also partially processed by the digestive system, they may still take an hour or more to provide complete relief for some people.
