Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
CBDfx Lemon Lime Mint CBD Tincture smells refreshing and citrusy, as the label would suggest, as soon as you open the bottle. The smell is crisp, but light enough to not overwhelm the senses.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
Much like the smell, the flavor has a certain crispness to it. The fresh, minty flavor is much bolder than the smell, and the combined citrus undertones make for an experience that’s similar to a high-quality cup of warm peppermint tea. The citrusy fresh flavor completely hides any trace flavors of hemp, so this tincture may be a good option for anyone who doesn’t care for the flavor of hemp.
The tincture oil is very thin, making it easy to measure and dose without any mess, unlike with some thicker tinctures we’ve tried. The light oil is completely transparent. It feels very light in the mouth and is almost unnoticeable when sitting under the tongue. It doesn’t leave any residue behind, just a pleasant minty freshness.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
The effects of this tincture were of the same high quality as other CBDfx tinctures that we’ve tried. The effects kicked in almost immediately, within ten minutes of the dose. The smooth onset was just enough to take the edge off of one of our regular migraine attacks. Within 2 hours, the migraine had totally subsided.
The same 16.5-milligram dose was effective for managing sore shoulders and back muscles the very next day. Further, we noted a significant decrease in anxiety levels and possibly even an increase in energy levels after only one dose. The effects lasted about as long as we expected, with muscle soreness beginning to return after about 6 hours. The effects of this tincture are mild, yet effective, and may be suitable for anyone looking for a quick-acting and long-lasting CBD dosing option.
Best used for
Tinctures like this one have a multitude of potential uses. Science has linked CBD to some pretty substantial health effects, which may make it right for treating a wide variety of conditions and symptoms. One study shows that CBD may help treat anxiety disorders and it scored well at reducing overall anxiety in most people, especially those suffering from social anxiety disorder. Further, cannabidiol may help manage pain and inflammation by deterring pain signals from reaching the brain.
Many people use CBD as an alternative to opioids or to transition away from prescription medications. Another study shows that cannabinoid-based medication has great potential for managing neuropathic pain, which may make it suitable for people suffering from some chronic conditions, like multiple sclerosis. People have also seen results when using cannabidiol to manage Parkinson’s Disease. Tinctures like this may be the best option for any condition requiring quick relief that responds to cannabidiol.
