Opening this bottle of CBDistillery Vegan 30mg CBD Isolate Gummies is a fruity delight but is still pretty easy on the nose. The smell is not artificial or overly tart, probably because of the wholesome, natural ingredients used for flavorings, like organic pumpkin, carrot, apple, and real sugar.

There are multiple flavors within this bottle of CBD gummies, but each one is equally sweet, bright, and pleasant. It’s hard to tell which flavor is which, as none of them have a robust taste. However, they are just sweet enough to be delicious without being overwhelming, and none of the flavors leave behind a strong hemp flavor, so we’d recommend these even to those with a sensitive palate.

Consistency

These gummies provide a great balance between chewy and melt-in-your-mouth. Each gummy is coated in a sweet, crystallized powder that keeps them from sticking together and creating a mess inside the bottle. As you eat them, they go down smooth and don’t leave any sticky residue on your teeth, which is always a trademark characteristic of a great gummy experience.

These gummies were an increase on our usual 20mg dose, but we used them for several days, dosing only one time in the morning, and were able to observe several benefits. Each time it seemed to take just over an hour before the warm blanket of CBD’s calming effects covered us. These gummies did soothe anxiety as well as (maybe even better than) our usual dose. More importantly, the effects were lengthy, and no re-dose was needed throughout the day. In fact, several times, we took a single gummy first thing in the morning (around 7 a.m.) and did not feel the effects begin to wane until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. 

One day in particular, though, a re-dose was needed after sustaining a mild injury (pulled muscle) while hiking. A second 30-mg gummy was taken as soon as the injury site began to swell. Although the effects took over an hour to kick in, this gummy relieved pain and swelling as well as any CBD supplement we’ve tried. When combined with a CBD topical, it nearly eliminated all signs of discomfort, except for a slight tightness when the muscle was in use. For managing the pain, redosing was necessary after about 6 hours.
