As we mentioned, these Chill Frog CBD Tincture Drops are a straightforward dosing style. The formula contains only the brand’s full-spectrum hemp extract, fractionated coconut oil, sunflower oil, and natural flavors. Since there’s no gluten, dairy, or other animal products, this tincture oil is appropriate for most people with dietary restrictions or allergies. The tincture is mint flavored, which means that it may work even for those who have a sensitive palette to oral hemp products.

Smell

Taste

The tincture isn’t very hempy at all, which we appreciate, but the mint flavor is pretty powerful. It kind of leaves an aftertaste akin to mouthwash, but with no sweeteners involved. All in all, it isn’t unpleasant, but it’s something to consider since a potent mint flavor can be off-putting for some people. 

Consistency

The Chill Tincture Drops are thin and viscous, easy to measure and dose, and don’t leave any thick residue behind in the mouth. The oil has a golden tinge to it just as any true full-spectrum CBD oil should. 

Effects

Although we had previously had a good experience with the Chill CBD Gummies from this brand, we were particularly excited about an oil-based dosing style. Just as we’d hoped, the effects of this sublingual dose kicked in quickly, in less than half an hour, and the potent dose provided a significant level of relief. 

We’re no strangers to using CBD to stave off mild to moderate back pain, and this tincture left little to be desired. In fact, we not only felt a significant reduction in pain but also were generally loose and relaxed. We honestly felt the slightest bit tired, something we’ve only known to happen when taking larger doses of CBD. 

Ultimately, the oil tincture provided complete relief from our moderate back pain and kicked in fast enough that we would feel comfortable reaching for it even if the pain were more severe. With the ability to adjust the dose in small increments, we may even try a smaller dosage next time around.

Awesome drops! Very refreshing mint flavor. Works well for my anxiety unlike other brands I’ve tried in the past. It doesn’t give you a head high like some full spectrum drops. Happy with my purchase.

We really struggled to find anything we didn’t love about these CBD drops. Perhaps our only complaint is that the mint formula is a bit much, but that is truly a small price to pay for CBD of this quality (and at this awesome price point). 

Truly, we see ourselves reaching for these CBD drops again when our back pain strikes, and we love the ability to use potent doses and control the dosage as needed. At 50-100 mg per serving, these drops are presumably designed for confident hemp consumers, but the oil formula makes it easy to cut the dosage down to size if you don’t quite need such large doses. In other words, these Chill Frog CBD Tincture Drops are great for advanced, daily CBD users but could also be a great choice for beginners looking to ease into a dosing routine.
