This product is no longer being made. To find an appropriate alternative, we recommend Secret Nature’s, Full-Spectrum CBD Vape Cartridge (700 mg)
Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
While Comfort Leaf’s pre-filled CBD + Terpenes Cartridges come in three varieties – Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid – we tested the 150 mg Sativa cartridge. Each variety also comes in a different flavor; Sativa’s being Strawberry Lemonade.
As soon as you remove the cartridge from the box, you’re hit with a noticeable fruity scent. While the vape cartridge is completely THC-free since it’s made of industrial hemp rather than cannabis, it can be assumed that the flavor profile comes from added terpenes (oils found in cannabis that account for the smell, taste, and certain effects of each plant) that are commonly found in sativa strains of cannabis. The product smells relatively the same throughout the entire process, with the liquid and the vapor smelling remarkably like they should: strawberry lemonade.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
Added terpenes affect both the smell and the taste of the vape cartridge. This product almost tastes like a refreshing cup of lemonade immediately after inhalation, with a very distinct flavor that’s very sweet and not at all earthy, like many CBD vape products tend to. On the other hand, the overly fruity taste feels somewhat manufactured when considering it derives from a plant. Overall, though, the cartridge is delicious – and a great way to start the morning.
Comfort Leaf cartridges are made using a fractionated coconut oil base and are completely free of propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerin (PG), polyethylene glycol (PEG), or other additives – this is a company that’s very conscious about what they’re putting into their products. When vaporized, the dark brown viscous oil turns into a satisfyingly soft cloud.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
Because we tried the Sativa variation, we decided to test this product for the first time in the morning. After about three inhalations from the CBD + Terpenes Cartridge, you start to feel the effects. While it’s not strong enough to replace your morning coffee, the Sativa definitely makes you feel more awake and alert. Bodily aches and pains seem to be pushed to the back of your mind, and the morning commute is more enjoyable. Effects are felt in about five to ten minutes and last for one to two hours. Comfort Leaf does product testing, which is always an indicator of a trustworthy CBD company. According to the Certificate of Analysis found on Comfort Leaf’s website, these cartridges tested at 160.26 mg CBD – which is a decently accurate measurement for a 150 mg CBD cartridge. Each hit offers a relatively low dose at this measurement so you may need to take a few extra hits to start feeling the effects.
Best Used For
Because the Sativa CBD + Terpene Cartridge is low in dosage and can expectedly have a terpene profile in line with an energizing Sativa, this product is extremely useful for fatigue, stress, depression, and mild aches and pains. Effects are not over-the-top but definitely noticeable, which means you can use this product throughout the day as needed without fear of becoming too sedated, as many CBD products can leave users.
