You do have to try pretty hard to get a whiff of the Balance Sour Diesel Cartomizer, which is a testament to how discreet this vaporizer is, especially when attached to the Jupiter Palm CCELL Vaporizer (available alongside this cartridge as a bundle deal from Earth Medicine). When you try hard enough, you can just barely smell the skunky, earthy, and robust aroma of this vape, which is infused with the same unique terpene profile as the Sour Diesel plant. 

The flavor is exactly what you expect and crave from a Sour Diesel infused vape: dank, earthy, and pungent. This bold vaporizer is sweetly reminiscent of a fresh Sour Diesel plant, but also not too strong or overwhelming. In other words, it’s not the most discreet CBD vaporizer available, but it’s smooth, herbal flavor leaves nothing to desire.

The oil inside this cartomizer is of medium thickness and is a rich golden color. The vapor output (when combined with the Jupiter Palm) was mild and tolerable, but not lacking in fullness or flavor.

We were excited to use this vaporizer bundle from Earth Medicine. The Jupiter Palm CCELL vaporizer looks and feels unique, and provides a strong, consistent pull of vapor each time. Our first opportunity to use this Balance cartomizer came at the first signs of a headache—weakened peripheral vision. This vaporizer provided fast acting effects, leaving only a few minutes for the migraine pain to build behind the eyes before it degraded almost completely. Three puffs from this vaporizer left us with only a mild discomfort and light sensitivity, a fair trade off for the multiple hours of intense pain that often comes along with these migraines and leaves us bedridden. Although these migraines typically respond well to CBD, the fast effects of this particular cartridge are notable in comparison to other vaporizers we’ve tried. 

To further test the quality of this vaporizer, we used it to combat injury-related knee pain and inflammation. Again, a dose of three puffs seemed to do the trick, and after about ten minutes swelling was reduced by half and pain levels decreased “from a 6 to a 2,” according to our tester. The tester reported having to redose about once every three hours to keep the swelling and pain (mostly) at bay, and recommended this in combination with a CBD topical solution for managing intense, unrelenting pain.

CBD may be useful for a variety of ailments, and researchers have already begun looking at the potential of CBD for managing conditions like anxiety, pain, PTSD, arthritis, insomnia, and more. Vaporized CBD, like Earth Medicine’s Sour Diesel Cartomizer, is known for its quick onset and is often recommended where fast relief is needed, like for managing severe pain, sudden flares, and potentially certain chronic illnesses.

This Sour Diesel terpene-infused vaporizer can deliver fast effects and may be appropriate for some ailments on its own. As one tester suggested, though, it could be effectively paired with other CBD products to increase its benefits or better target certain symptoms. One option you may consider is combining this with an oral CBD supplement, like Earth Medicine’s Natural CBD Drops. These oral products must pass through digestion (and therefore take longer to kick in) and have been said to have longer lasting effects, which may pair nicely with the short lived, but near-immediate effect of this vaporizer. The Earth Medicine Balance Sour Diesel Cartomizer and Jupiter Palm Vaporizer bundle pack costs $55.00 and, in our opinion, provides a fantastic value for CBD users. The Sour Diesel Cartomizer contains 200mg of CBD and costs $35 on its own, or about $0.18 per milligram. The Jupiter Palm costs between $25-$30 when purchased on its own (from other retailers), which means this combination pack saves between $5-$10. At $0.18 per milligram, this Sour Diesel CBD Cartomizer has a similar price to other high-quality vapes, like  Joy Organics Lite Citrus Breeze Vape Cartridge, which costs about $0.17 per milligram.
