Nature’s Script Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture (300-5000mg) Product Review

Nature’s Script Pure Hemp Extract CBD Oil comes in two flavors; watermelon or peppermint. We tested the watermelon version and it smells just like watermelon candy—think the watermelon Jolly Ranchers. It doesn’t taste as sweet as the classic hard candy though, which we like.

The product tastes much like it smells: pure watermelon candy flavor, but with the sugar sucked out. The flavor is unmistakably watermelon, so if you don’t like artificial watermelon flavor (one of our testers can’t stand the stuff) you might want to skip these or opt for the peppermint flavored version. We should also note that some of us experienced a case of watermelon-flavored burps for about 30 minutes after consumption, but a glass of water or juice after dosing cleared this up.

The blend of oils used by Nature’s Script (hemp oil, grapeseed oil, and MCT oil) make for a free-flowing oil that isn’t too viscous or too liquidy.  It doesn’t adhere too strongly to the soft tissues of the mouth, so once it’s absorbed (usually 3-5 minutes), there is no lingering aftertaste.

In the 300mg version we tested, each dropper contains 10 mg of CBD, which was enough for all our testers to feel some effects, including improvements in mood, decreased anxiety, reduced muscle and joint pain, and improvements in symptoms of depression. That said, some of us needed to double our dose for full symptom relief. If you’re like some of us that need a higher dose, consider one of the higher dosage strengths (Nature’s Script offers CBD oil concentrations as high as 4,000 mg).

We felt the effects within an hour of consumption of this product, with the most pronounced effect being a sense of general well-being. We felt physically and mentally better—we generally stressed less and laughed more. We also noticed a marked improvement in symptoms of chronic joint and muscle pain from conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and muscle damage resulting from injury.  It also helped with not only menstrual cramps but PMS symptoms as well, making our cycles more manageable (always a bonus).

For most of us, the effects lasted about 8 hours.  Some of us experienced all-day relief, but others needed to dose a second time throughout the day to maintain symptom relief—your mileage on this will depend on your needs. If you need a higher dose, one of the higher concentrations might be a better option. We found that the effects were stronger the higher the dose we took, so you can always take more if you need to.

We use Nature’s Script Pure Hemp Extract CBD Oil to help treat conditions like anxiety, depression, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic muscle pain, bipolar disorder, and muscle fatigue, but you could use it to treat a variety of inflammatory illnesses like cardiovascular disease, muscle spasms, epilepsy, or cancer.

Since this is an oral product, it is better suited to preventive use rather than treating acute symptoms, such as panic attacks or muscle tremors. Use this product as part of a daily CBD regimen for best results, and then use something more fast-acting for sudden onset of symptoms.  Since it can either be taken straight or mixed with food or beverages (we like adding it to smoothies made with frozen melon and mango, but you do you!), so it’s a great option for people looking for a simple way to add CBD to their daily regimen, especially people who don’t care for pills.

As this product takes longer to kick in than other types of CBD, we recommend it for long-term prevention rather than short-term relief. For sudden symptoms like anxiety attacks or muscle spasms, we recommend vaporizing or dabbing CBD for immediate relief.

This is comparable to the value of the lowest dose of Ambary Gardens’ CBD oil (250 mg), which works out to about $0.16 per milligram and $1.12 per 7 mg dose. For the quality of the product, the oil is reasonably priced and presents a good value that lines up with its closest competitors in the industry.

We like Nature’s Script CBD oil for a couple of reasons: the watermelon flavor is unique and might be attractive to people who don’t care for the herbal flavor of unflavored CBD and are sick of the traditional peppermint (though that option is also available!). It’s effective, batch-tested, and passes our CBD Buyer’s Guide test for quality and purity. For the quality of the product, we think it stands its ground next to the competition.
