Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
There is no apparent scent when opening this bottle of SeaBeDee Anxiety Blend, but upon further investigation you can experience a lightly floral, grassy scent. There’s a touch of the “hempy” smell, but the bulk of the natural aroma seems to come from the proprietary terpene blend described in the ingredients.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
The taste is pretty mild at first, but does have a bit of a grassy bite near the end. This Anxiety Blend isn’t flavored and definitely doesn’t taste the best, but it’s also no overwhelming and washes away with a drink. Unless you just have incredibly sensitive taste buds, you shouldn’t have a problem ingesting this light oil.
This tincture is thin and mostly clear, with a hint of golden color probably derived from natural plant material. It feels slightly cool and weightless in the mouth and goes down smooth, leaving nothing behind but the aforementioned aftertaste.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
This tincture came at the perfect time, right after finishing off the 250mg full spectrum bottle we regularly used for anxiety. SeaBeDee’s anxiety blend immediately picked up the slack for managing anxiety all day. One dropper full, or 17 mg CBD, was used to replace a similar dose.
It took about 35 minutes before we felt the effects creep on, and within an hour anxiety-induced stomach tension had melted away. In fact, even in the absence of regular anxiety prescriptions, this tincture helped take the edge off of daily activities that would have otherwise been difficult. On the first day, redosing was needed after about four hours, but it was a particularly stressful evening so it was to be expected.
Taken every day, the tincture seemed to be more effective. After three days of regular morning doses, it almost seemed as though social anxiety had been cured. It wasn’t until 8 hours after each dose that we began to notice the grip of anxiety creeping back up.
We then paired it with SeaBeDee’s Lavender Sleep Blend, which helped calm anxious thoughts throughout the night. Overall, this anxiety blend works as well as, or even better than, most CBD products we’ve tried for anxiety, and we were thoroughly impressed with the length of effects, especially after taking regular doses.
If ever there were a complaint, it would only be about the bitter, grassy flavor. Of course, this can be easily circumvented by adding the CBD to your favorite drink or food.
Best used for
CBD may be useful for a wide range of health conditions. Some research even suggests that Cannabidiol may be useful for treating chronic illness. However, this tincture relies on multiple studies that show CBD’s anxiolytic properties, and this proprietary blend is designed with this use in mind.
Although the exact terpene blend is not disclosed, we’d be willing to bet it includes myrcene, limonene, and other terpenes that may help calm anxious thoughts and prevent panic attacks. This tincture is a great option for anyone looking to manage anxiety with CBD, especially those who are just starting out and want an easily metered (and adjustable) dose.
