Smell (Irrelevant to effects)

These pre-filled CBD Vaporizer Cartridges come in three different varieties: Brighten, Focus, and Relax. The names indicate how you can expect to feel after inhalation—the difference in effect is the result of the proprietary blend of terpenes added to each varietal. A quick refresher, terpenes are the smell and taste molecules found in plants like cannabis, and they actually modulate the effects of cannabinoids like CBD. Meaning the terpenes influence how your body reacts to the CBD contained in these cartridges. Believe it or not, you can actually smell the added terpenes through the sealed cartridges. The Brighten cartridge smells like tropical fruit, the Focus cartridge smells like Pine-Sol, and the Relax cartridge smells like lavender.

Taste (Irrelevant to effects)

Like the smell, the taste varies based on the specific blend of terpenes in each cartridge. The taste of each cartridge is very similar to the smell—the Brighten tastes like tropical candy; the Focus tastes like mint, pine needles, and herbs; and the Relax tastes like musky, earthy, lavender. The taste of each cartridge is somewhat artificial when compared to cannabis-derived terpenes, but overall these cartridges have very enjoyable flavors.

Consistency

The pre-filled CBD Vaporizer Cartridges contain viscous oil that’s comprised of coconut MCT oil, CBD isolate, and a custom blend of terpenes. The oil is transparent with a yellow hue to it. To be clear, you should never be taking the oil out of the cartridge—they come ready for consumption and simply need to be attached to a vaporizer battery.

Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)

After taking a few inhalations from the CBD Vaporizer Cartridges, the effects can be felt almost instantaneously. The effects vary based on which cartridge you choose—the Brighten is an uplifting mood enhancer; the Focus results in increased mental performance; and the Relax induces full body relaxation and sleepiness. We found the effects to be quite noticeable and last for several hours. If you’re looking for a product where you can actually ‘feel’ the CBD working, we highly recommend these pre-filled vaporizer cartridges.

This is a fast-acting systemic product, meaning it will provide near instantaneous relief to the entire body that will last up to 3 hours. That said, we recommend combining the CBD Vaporizer Cartridges with a longer lasting systemic product like the tinctures or gel caps for sustained, long-lasting relief (up to 8+ hours). Alternatively, you could pair these with a topical salve like the Deep Rub for additional localized relief to the muscles, joints, ligaments, or skin.

Value/Price

Each 0.5mL Ceramic Vaporizer Cartridge contains 250mg of CBD—the amount of CBD is the same in each of the 3 varieties. This is a sufficient amount of CBD for this type of product. From a pure CBD content perspective, the 99% CBD Isolate from Ambary Gardens provides better value, but it lacks the terpenes and ease of consumption that these CBD Vaporizer Cartridges offer. The moral of the story? You can’t go wrong with either product. We find the 99% CBD Isolate to be preferable when dabbing and the cartridges superior when vaporizing (especially from a discretion and portability perspective).
