Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
Upon opening a bottle of CBDfx Blueberry Pineapple Lemon Tincture 500mg, you can immediately smell the fruity, sweet aroma. The smell is oddly reminiscent of the original pink Hubba Bubba Bubblegum, but with an uplifting, citrusy aroma.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
The tincture has a mild flavor that is consistent with its smell-oddly similar to Bubblegum. However, the mild flavor is accented with a light touch of pineapple-hinted zing, with after tones that take on more of a full-bodied, hempy blueberry flavor. The hempy flavor of the full-spectrum tincture is notably diminished by the fruity add-ins, so this would be a great choice for those with a less than tolerant palate.
This tincture is thin and feels light and oily in the mouth. The liquid is mostly transparent, which is not usual for full spectrum products. It washes away entirely after swallowing, without leaving any heavy residue in your mouth.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
The effects of this tincture were immediate and apparent. A roughly 16.5mg dose immediately calmed a minor anxiety attack, bringing a quick feeling of calmness and relief. We also noted prominent pain-relieving effects when using this tincture for a low-grade headache. The delicious blueberry flavor made it a delight to take alongside breakfast, which definitely seemed to help improve focus and endurance through a physically demanding and busy morning.
The duration of effects was similar to other tinctures we’ve tried. When managing anxiety during the day, one morning dose was enough to provide relief almost all day, and redosing may have been necessary after 7-8 hours if anxiety relief is needed all day. For managing more severe pain from a pulled shoulder muscle, redosing was necessary after about 4 hours. However, we noted that the effects of the CBD were very comparable to the previous treatment used, ibuprofen.
Best used for
This tincture provides a quality dose of CBD and fast relief that may be useful in one of the many ways CBD is used. Studies show that Cannabidiol may help manage pain by disrupting pain signals to the brain. Further, Cannabidiol may act in the same way to help reduce inflammation. For this reason, people are using Cannabidiol to manage inflammatory conditions like arthritis, or for managing all sorts of pain, including chronic pain as a result of one or more health conditions, neuropathic pain, pain due to injury, and postoperative pain.
The quick acting effects may make this tincture a suitable choice for managing anxiety, considering studies have confirmed the anxiolytic effects of cannabidiol. Plus, as a wake-promoting agent, many people enjoy the positive effect CBD has on their endurance and focus throughout the day, which is why many people are interested in using CBD for ADHD.
