CBDfx Hemp + MCT Oil 500 Series CBD Tincture Product Review

The CBDfx Hemp + MCT Oil 500 Series CBD Tincture smells earthy and pure like any untainted, high-quality CBD oil should. The smell is bold and fragrant, similar to a hearty, unrefined olive oil, and would be pleasant to anyone who enjoys the grassy aroma of pure, full-spectrum hemp tinctures.

The tincture tastes exactly as it smells, though it’s difficult to describe the flavor as anything other than “fresh plant material.” The earthy aroma bleeds into the exquisite, fresh flavor of this tincture, which doesn’t have any flavor additives to disrupt the natural taste of fine hemp oil and MCT oil. This is super “hempy” tincture, so it’s probably not the best for those who dislike the strong hemp flavor.

The oil is pretty thin and mostly transparent with a touch of a honey golden tone. The thin oil measures easily with the supplied dropper lid, which includes metered markings for easy dosing. The oil feels light when placed under the tongue, goes down easily in the mouth, and doesn’t feel gritty or sticky like many other full spectrum tinctures.

This tincture provides a quick onset that seemed to promise high-quality therapeutic effects to come. Although it did seem to take longer for the effects to fully peak than with other CBDfx tinctures we tried (about 45 minutes), the effects weren’t lacking. When using this tincture to manage daily anxiety, we used a morning dose of 16.5mg. It definitely took the edge off and made it easier to focus, without overthinking or any feelings of panic. The effects lasted well through lunch and seemed to only begin to fade away at the six-hour mark.

The second tester (who was brand new to CBD) suffers from intractable back pain caused by a previous spinal injury. During a pain flare, one dose of approximately 25mg dulled the pain after about 25 minutes and eliminated most of the discomfort after about 45 minutes. As a new CBD user, he was notably impressed with the results and described the results as “similar to prescription pain meds, but without any disorientation.” The effects didn’t seem to last quite as long for him, possibly due to the severity of the pain, but another 16.5mg dose after 4 hours extended relief through the better part of the day

This tincture seems to provide a high-quality source of CBD, which has a myriad of potential benefits and wellness uses. Although we are only in the early stages of CBD and Cannabinoid research, evidence exists that exposes cannabidiol’s anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving effects. Further research suggests that cannabidiol may be useful for a range of conditions, like managing pain and inflammation due to arthritis, controlling epileptic seizures, or managing intractable nausea and vomiting caused by a number of ailments, including as a side effect of popular cancer treatments, like chemotherapy.

In fact, research shows that cannabidiol may even have anti-cancer potential because of its ability to inhibit proliferation or the spread of cancer cells. This tincture would be appropriate for any conditions that respond well to CBD but may be especially useful for conditions requiring fast-acting relief, like chronic pain.

This product provides substantial therapeutic properties when used on its own, but will perfectly pair with other products depending on your needs. Using a tincture alongside CBD topical products, like CBDfx CBD Cream 100mg, is a great way to target muscle or joint pain or inflammation. Further, combining a fast-acting tincture with a slower approach, like CBD edibles, may help extend the benefits by a few hours or more.

While this tincture will kick in quickly for most people, CBDfx Hemp Gummies may take an hour or longer to take effect. Many people report extended effects from edible products, which may be due to the way that the product is slowly metabolized during digestion. Either way, using both products together may help provide a consistent, smooth experience that lasts hours longer than the tincture alone.

This bottle contains 30 mL of oil with a CBD content of 500mg and costs about $75. That rounds out to about $0.15 per milligram or $1.50 for a 10mg dose. This could be considered a higher price range since many brands offer prices that fall short of this amount.

Still, for a high-quality CBD tincture that provides significant results, we don’t think the price is too much to pay.
