NuLeaf Naturals’ CBN Softgels are an advanced version of a classic CBN formula that promises at least 4 mg of secondary cannabinoids per serving. A serving is 2 softgels, or 30 mg of CBN. Their CBN Oil formula is clean and simple, containing only Full Spectrum Hemp Extract and Organic Virgin Hemp Seed Oil. The CBN softgel is made from cassava root, water, and vegetable glycerine. That means that this additive-free, plant-based formula is vegan and meets the needs of most dietary restrictions. 

Our NuLeaf order came quickly and neatly packaged, and these CBN Softgels are well-labeled with the information we needed to get started. A QR code led us right to the third-party lab results (which do, in fact, prove the absence of all contaminants), and the expiration date assured us that these softgels were fresh (and would remain fresh for nearly two years).

The recommended dosage for this product is 2 softgels, or 30 mg of CBN. The CBD brand doesn’t specify when CBN should be taken, but we used these to supplement our usual nighttime CBN dose taken about an hour before bed.

These softgels are flavorless–a serious benefit to anyone who detests the flavor of hemp oil products. 

Consistency

These CBN softgels are soft and pliable, making them super easy to swallow. 

Effects

We take CBN nightly to help manage aches and pains while we sleep, and our typical dose allows us to maintain a regular sleep-wake routine and wake feeling rested. In other words, this CBN formula had big shoes to fill, and it did just that. 

We laid down about an hour after taking this CBN softgel, and it took roughly another 15 minutes to begin to feel tired. We noted a couple of things–significantly less leg and back pain than we feel without our nighttime dose, plus a level of mental relaxation beyond what we normally experience. In fact, drifting off to sleep was quick and easy, more so than usual. We also love that these allowed us to get a full night’s rest without feeling groggy in the morning (something we experience commonly with CBN formulas containing melatonin).

That’s a typical per-milligram price for standard CBN formulas including CBD, but you’ll probably notice that most formulas use much smaller quantities of CBN than CBD.
