Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
The smell of SeaBeDee’s 500mg Muscle and Joint Relief Cream is welcoming, and almost reminiscent of a light, peppermint-flavored dessert. The sweet smell isn’t too strong or perfumy, but it does have a menthol scent that sticks around for about 15 minutes.
Overall, the sweet smelling cream is definitely discreet enough to be used everyday.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
We didn’t really taste it and we assume it’s not recommended (even though the ingredients are exceptionally natural).
Consistency
This muscle rub could easily be described as “delicate” as it goes on thin and feels light and airy, which is a nice alternative to many greasy muscle rubs. The thinner consistency was definitely appropriate for every use we encountered, and although thicker creams definitely have their place, the ability to use very little and achieve great coverage (and relief) sets SeaBeDee’s Muscle and Joint Relief cream apart.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
This little bottle of muscle rub fit perfectly into the pocket of our gym bag, which is an added bonus to its impressive effects on post-workout inflammation. A particularly vigorous afternoon leg workout onset aching knees before we passed the first red light home, and this cream came in handy immediately. The arnica and menthol helped instantly take the edge off those dull aches.
It took about twenty minutes to feel the full extent of pain relief, presumably the amount of time it took for the CBD to take effect in the body. We followed up with SeaBeDee’s Inflammation Blend tincture and there was no need to redose until the next day.
One product tester decided to put this cream to a different sort of test, applying it to aching wrists and elbows during a tendonitis flare. She claimed about the same 20-30 minutes for a full onset, but added that it relieved the full ache as well as any relief cream she’s tried before.
Although only comparable in terms of effects, she also added that this cream outlasted drugstore alternatives by double, providing relief for over 6 hours after application. Although reapplication may be necessary during the day, especially for chronic pain and inflammation, the bottle is small, durable, and quite handy if you want quick, all-natural relief.
Best used for
This cream is pretty multi-functional and could be used to help fight pain, soreness, and inflammation in the joints and muscles. We used it against general soreness as well as chronically inflamed joints and experienced great results each time.
The thin nature of this cream would potentially make it appropriate for soreness in any area. You could apply it between your toes if that’s where you really needed it! The cream may be especially useful to athletes or anyone who experiences joint and muscle pain frequently.
