Smell (Irrelevant to effects)
The smell of CBDfx Lychee Lemon Kiwi Tincture Oil 500 Series is fruity and delectable as soon as you unscrew the cap. The smell is sweeter and much stronger than other tinctures we’ve tried by the brand. Although it is a hard scent to describe, it lies somewhere between the aroma of fresh squeezed lemonade and the sour gummy straws you could buy from the vending machine in middle school. The smell is definitely not mild, though the taste is a little different.
Taste (Irrelevant to effects)
Just like when we tried CBDfx’s Blueberry Pineapple Lemon Tincture, this has an unexplainable, but delightful similarity to Hubba Bubba bubblegum. The Lychee Lemon Kiwi, however, has even fruitier, tropical undertones, and a fresh aftertaste that is almost like a mild, fruit-flavored breath mint. The citrus tones are most apparent, though the flavor is still super mild overall, and no hempy tones seem to break through while dosing.
This tincture would be suitable for anyone who loves tropical fruits or anyone looking for a CBD tincture that fully eliminates the hempy flavor of most full spectrum hemp oils.
Consistency
This oil is super thin and light, making it easy to measure and dose accordingly. The oil, which is perfectly clear, feels smooth and light in the mouth, leaving behind no oily, thick, or sticky residue after you swallow.
Effects (Onset, Duration, Intensity)
Like the other CBDfx tinctures we tested, this product took effect almost instantly, within 10 minutes of our 16.5-milligram sublingual dose. We received this product just before a long day trip to the zoo, where the tincture seemed to keep anxiety at bay through the entire trip.
The real test happened the next day, however, when two testers had aches all over from the previous day’s excursions. Soreness in our feet, legs, and back began to immediately subside after a morning dose. One single 10 a.m. dose pushed us through an entire day pain-free, and the effects didn’t seem to fade away (or the aching in our feet return) for almost 6 hours. Another dose immediately dulled any soreness and helped both testers push through a pretty intense leg-day workout that afternoon.
Alternatively, a few days later we grabbed this tincture when we were experiencing a bit of sleeplessness and took a double dose (larger amounts reportedly have more of a sedative effect). Within an hour, we were fast asleep and woke up the next day feeling refreshed and rested. A quick, (single) morning dose helped us seamlessly slide through the next day without pain, and with increased focus and concentration, despite the hour and a half of lost sleep the night before. Overall, the effects of this tincture are prominent, and it would be a useful supplement wherever CBD is beneficial.
Best used for
This tincture, like many others, is one of the quickest dosing mechanisms when considering all the different types of cannabidiol products. Because of its fast acting, quality effects, it could be useful for a number of different conditions and symptoms, including some related to chronic illness. According to research, cannabidiol has anxiolytic effects that may make it suitable for treating a range of different anxiety disorders, especially social anxiety related issues.
Further, research shows that cannabidiol interacts with neuroreceptors to block signals of pain and inflammation, which is why it may be useful for managing pain due to illness, different types of neuropathic pain, post-operative pain, or even muscle pain and joint soreness. Many people even use CBD when working out to help speed muscle recovery time and soothe swollen, sore, or tired muscles after a heavy session. CBD tinctures like this one are also super popular among people who use CBD for epilepsy, and studies show that cannabidiol may be useful for managing seizures, including recurring seizures due to illness.
